Basics of Kinesiology, human anatomy and my science-backed and gym-rat tested training philosophy

About me:

Education: While earning my degree in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada, I also became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in several specialized areas, including Certified Personal Training, Sports Nutrition, Performance Enhancement, and Corrective Exercise. These credentials reflect my commitment to understanding the science of movement, performance, and long-term health.

I started out as an athlete—that was my entire identity growing up. Everything in my life revolved around basketball. I would plan my day around training, track every workout, and obsessively record my shooting percentages from both games and practices. To put it simply, I was driven—obsessed, even.

During my later years in college, when COVID hit, I made a bold pivot from basketball to football. I dedicated myself fully to the weight room, adding 20 pounds of lean muscle in a year (220lbs-245lbs) to prepare for the season. While sports didn’t ultimately pan out the way I had hoped, that experience deepened my passion for training and led me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.

All of the habits I developed as an athlete—following strict meal plans, structuring my day around training, and committing to constant improvement—translated seamlessly into the world of personal training, bodybuilding, and performance enhancement.

On top of being a collegiate athlete, I’ve spent nearly my entire life surrounded by high-level coaches—both in physical conditioning and sport-specific strategy. I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best, and now I bring those lessons to my clients, combining science, structure, and experience into every program I deliver.

What I offer:

My goal is to guide you from where you are now to the person you aspire to become. I believe personal training is about more than just giving you a workout plan and nutrition guide — it’s about building consistency and discipline from the inside out. Once you become consistent in one area, that momentum naturally flows into every part of your life. Transforming your body and appearance is ultimately about transforming yourself — and I’m here to help you do that, one step at a time.

My Training Philosophy

Built in the Lab, Refined Under the Bar

I’ve been the “try-everything” lifter — cycling through powerlifting, Olympic lifts, high-volume bodybuilding, and even minimalist programs when life got crazy. That hands-on experimentation taught me what actually sticks. Now I blend the best parts of each style so clients get strong, explosive, and lean without wasting a single workout.
